family time, so peaceful...

i was looking back and realized that with the loss of the DS, i was doing an awful lot of talking about our evening family golf cart rides, and since it is such a BIG part of our lives, i'd share with you a "day in the life of our mills family rides". oh the beautiful views, the peaceful sounds, and the smells of nature...


first order of business... make sure we have the "essentials" for the ride ahead... #1. toilet paper- you never know when "nature will call" and with four children your odds are pretty darn good they will!! #2.OFF- if you could only see my little boys "wee-wee's" they look like a snake that swallowed a golf ball because of chigger bites! so, we've learned... bring the OFF #3. the "never leave home with out me - sippy cup". and #4. an entire bottle of BBs, you know, just in case a bear jumps out of the woods, we've gotta have protection!
okay - check! it's a go...


next stop on the list, take a look at the dead armadillos harvested on this mornings "man's hunting" excursion... boys only! who'd of thought the smells of nature would be so rank after only one day in 97 degree heat???


alright, off we go to enjoy the peaceful evening...


WAIT!... a bird!... get it! get it!


really, who needs hunting dogs???


good boy! bring it, now drop... drop... good boy...


i guess in the mist of all the excitement, no one realized that our 2 year old stole the golf cart key... give that back!


but then she decided to hold it ransom, and she was standing firm...


and still not budging...


hey! give that to me! drop... i said drop...


well, the sun has set and we have managed to scare off every animal in woods ten miles around, time for home. what a quiet and peaceful evening spent together! good 'ol quality family time!!!
