what happened???

what happened to the days with the little disposable cameras with the self winders? i loved those days, i was so happy then, the sound of that little flash charging up. the anticipation of the orange light turning green... where did that go? times were so simple back then. a picture was just a picture. red eye was just normal and the biggest decisions we had to make were are we printing singles or doubles. that was the good 'ol days! now, i have a great camera to most peoples standards. one that can make anyone a professional, there is no bad picture taking up room, with one push of a button that moment will be deleted forever. you can immediately down load them onto your computer and start changing the lighting, editing out blemishes, and what's red eye?? but for me it has made picture taking something that torments me in my sleep! i just can't figure it out! and my poor, poor, children. today i caught myself bribing my kids with cash! $5 to anyone who will let me take their pictures. the sad thing is i had only one taker! (in my family, that's not good odds). and it just never goes the way i see it in my head! you know where the sun is behind a thin cloud, the wind is blowing in just the right direction, my kids just running through the flowers with the perfect look on their face... oh no!! not in my world! this is what i get on picture day!!!
