well, one easter party down, three more to go!!! this is nuts! i am starting to get holiday anxiety! paysli had her party today, the boys parties are thursday, and friday is the rodeo, sat. is the family easter party, sun. we host my family in easter lunch.boy don't i wish i was still 5! last year at this time, i had to have a long sit down with my hubby, it was time... it comes in all our lives, no mother/wife wants to see this day...but, i had to break the news... the easter bunny, well there really isn't one! i know, kinda harsh, i wanted to let him down easy, but i thought maybe "like a band-aid" fast and to the point! he looked at me with confusion... "babe, there really isn't a bunny that poops colored eggs filled w/ candy in our yard", poor thing, i know he heard me, i just think he feels like accepting this might mean the rumors about santa hold truth. he really can't take 2 in one year. however, i still don't look for much help on the eve of easter morning! but, until then, friday, friday is what i am the most excited about, friday... WHERE.... all three of my boys will participating in the mutton' bustin. for you who don't know what that is, it is a rodeo event where the younger children get to ride a sheep for 8 seconds. i really hope this sport takes over and they make it a sport for all ages! there's NO WAY my boys are getting on the top of a snot flingin' bull, my sweet, precious, oh so delicate, little boys will only be allowed to ride sheep from this point on!! so, off i go making sure the laundry is done, no real cowboy can make his appearance with out clean wranglers! my "rodeo" starts tonight.. i'm wranglin' 3 cowboy hats and roundin' up 6 cowboy boots, and wrestlin' 3 cowboy belts. where's my trophy? that ain't easy!! wish us luck and lots of SLOW sheep!!
